About us

Palms Cake Designers is a home-cooked food company founded in St. Johns and located in Jacksonville Florida, by Aldo Ricardo and Maria Capote. It is aimed at producing and marketing custom-made designer cakes; having as its slogan ¨That’s A Cake?!¨, making whatever you imagine become a cake. From an express cake to a cake sculpture, these are the possibilities of their creations.

Aldo, with more than 25 years of experience as an artist in the fine arts, and 15 years as a cake designer, worked in one of the most prestigious cake design companies in the country; Eddas Cake Designs, in Miami, FL. He is able to use his knowledge of sculptures, paintings and ceramics, to make the ordinary, a specialty designer cake.

Together with Maria, a lover of food and desserts, inherited from her ancestors, they are the perfect combination in this fusion to find art and flavor. Serving our beautiful communities of St. John’s, Jacksonville, and the St. Augustine area, through this new project.

The gallery is a collection of curated cakes designed by artist Aldo Ricardo since 2008. Please note that cakes not labeled Palms Cake Designers are entirely attributed to the years he worked for Edda’s Cake Design, Miami FL.
